Employment Coordinator (Oakfield)

Do you want a job that makes a difference? Are you an excellent communicator and problem-solver who likes to support and advocate for people with a disability or long-term health condition?  

We are looking for an Employment Coordinator to work with a caseload of clients, supporting them in all aspects of their job seeking.  You will have the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, be able identify training and employment opportunities suited to a specific person's needs, provide advice and guidance on reasonable adjustments to both clients & employers, and signpost clients towards relevant external support services.  

This is a full time position (38 hours per week), working Mon - Fri. 

An Enhanced DBS check is required at the point of job offer.

Acorn Training & Development Coordinator

We are looking for a Training & Development Coordinator to work with a caseload of clients at Acorn, supporting them in all aspects of their training and skills development.  You will have the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, be able identify and support clients to develop through our Acorn project sessions and where appropriate, towards a work experience placement or paid employment.  You will work in partnership with individual clients to identify their specific needs, provide advice and guidance on reasonable adjustments and signpost towards relevant external support services.

Acorn Training & Development Support Worker

We are looking for a Support Worker to work alongside clients accessing our Acorn group projects, helping them to develop a variety of skills and enabling them to progress towards their volunteering, training and employment goals. You will have the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients while providing practical support.  You will assist our ATD Coordinators in supporting clients to identify their goals and realistic aspirations and help formulate agreed action plans.  This role includes providing clients with emotional support and identifying and immediately reporting any client wellbeing or safeguarding concerns.

Acorn Delivery and Collections Driver

We are looking for a delivery and collections driver with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our team at Acorn Reuse.

Using your knowledge of the island and employing good health and safety practices, you will drive Acorn company vans to collect and deliver items of furniture across Jersey for the Reuse shop.

The role will involve heavy lifting of bulky items using lifting aids and other members of staff as appropriate.

Additional aspects may include assisting the Reuse Team Leader in operational aspects of running Reuse on the Acorn site, including accepting and unloading donations, restocking the shop, and associated customer service.

This is a permanent contract and the hours are negotiable between 26 - 35 hours per week.  The salary is £16.54 per hour.
